The City of Baconton and the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission (SWGRC) are inviting residents to help shape the future of their community by participating in upcoming virtual Community Listening Sessions for the Baconton Master Plan.

Baconton Listening Sessions

Community input is one of the most important parts of the planning process. These listening sessions will give residents the opportunity to share their thoughts on what makes Baconton special, what challenges the community faces, and what they would like to see in the years ahead.

Topics may include housing, downtown revitalization, parks, transportation, economic development, community services, and other issues that matter most to local residents.

Two virtual sessions are available to make participation as convenient as possible.

Residents are encouraged to join at any time during the scheduled session. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, comments will be limited to approximately one to two minutes per speaker.

The feedback collected during these sessions will help guide the development of the Baconton Master Plan—a long-range vision that will identify community priorities and provide a roadmap for future growth, investment, and improvements.

Whether you've lived in Baconton your entire life or recently made it your home, your voice matters. Every idea, concern, and suggestion helps create a stronger plan that reflects the needs and goals of the community.

For questions about the listening sessions or the Baconton Master Plan, contact Barbara Reddick, Director of Planning/Deputy Director at the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission, at (229) 522-3552 ext. 102 or breddick@swgrc.org.

Join the conversation and help shape Baconton's future—because the best plans begin with the people who call the community home.
